Leagues and competitions
Stake's football menu is organised by country and competition. The top European leagues are always well stocked during the season, while smaller leagues appear with fewer markets. Kick-off times for European evening matches fall late at night in IST, which matters if you like to bet live, for example on a phone via the Stake app.
La Liga
Real Madrid, Barcelona and the rest of Spain's top flight, plus other major European leagues such as Serie A, the Bundesliga and Ligue 1.
UEFA Champions League
Group/league phase and knockouts, with markets on each tie as well as outright winner odds.
Indian Super League

Football markets explained
Most football markets settle on the result after 90 minutes plus stoppage time. Extra time and penalties count only for markets that say so, such as "to qualify" or "to lift the trophy". This is the single most common source of confusion for new bettors.

Asian handicap in one example
Suppose you back Liverpool at −1.0 with ₹1,000. If they win by two or more goals, the bet wins. If they win by exactly one, the handicap cancels the margin and the stake is returned. A draw or defeat loses. Quarter lines such as −0.75 split your stake across two neighbouring handicaps (−0.5 and −1.0), so a one-goal win returns half as a win and half as a refund.
Goalscorer rules
Own goals usually do not count for scorer markets, and a player who does not start or come on is typically void. Stake's football rules give the exact treatment for each scorer market.
Outrights and season-long bets
Besides individual matches, Stake lists long-term markets: the league winner, top-four finish, relegation, top scorer and the Champions League winner. These bets tie up your stake for months, and prices move all season as injuries, transfers and form change the picture.
- Pros: one decision covers a whole season, and you can follow your bet every weekend.
- Cons: money is locked away for a long time, and the bookmaker's margin on outright markets is usually higher than on a single match.
- Settlement: outright bets generally stand even if a selected player moves club or is injured, unless Stake's rules say otherwise for that market.

Soccer Boosted Odds promotion
Stake's promotions page lists Soccer Boosted Odds running from September 2026 to June 2027 — essentially the whole European season. Selected matches get an enhanced price on a chosen market, marked in the sportsbook. A boost applies only to the specific selection shown and may come with a maximum stake set in the offer terms.
How to judge a boost: compare the boosted price with the normal one and ask whether you would have bet on that outcome anyway. A boost improves the payout on a selection; it does not make the outcome more likely. Terms such as maximum stake are listed with the offer on Stake.

Stake and Everton
Fans of the Premier League will have seen the Stake logo on Everton's shirts: Stake is the club's shirt sponsor, one of several sports sponsorships alongside its UFC partnership. A sponsorship deal has no effect on odds or markets — Everton matches are priced like any other fixture — but it shows how visible the brand has become in English football. Live football betting tips
Wait for the line-ups
Team sheets arrive about an hour before kick-off. A rested striker or a missing centre-back can change goals and scorer markets more than the league table suggests.
Understand the clock
Over/under prices drift as time passes without goals. Late in a match, small lines can look attractive simply because one goal settles them — but that one goal may never come.
React to red cards carefully
Markets suspend after cards, goals and VAR checks and reopen at new prices. By the time you see the replay, the odds have already adjusted.
Mind the IST hours
Many European matches end after midnight in India. Tired late-night decisions are a classic route to overspending — set a limit before kick-off.
